R3 Restorative Workshop
Forget every you know about yoga and what you think “relaxation” means. We all have a home where when we cross the threshold at the end of the day where we have a special connection. Imagine the possibilities when you quiet your mind, body and breath and allow our own bodies to go back “home” and see where it needs some attention.
The R3 workshop is designed to relax the body, mind and breath and find a natural rhythm and foster relaxation. Postures (asanas) are held from 15 to 30 minutes using multiple props to completely release any tension and holding patterns within the body.
Prepare to arrive into a relaxing environment where your individual space will be setup in for you.
Your space will include:
Four Mexican blankets
Four foam blocks
Four cork blocks
One yoga strap
Come prepared dressed in warm and comfortable layers (yes even a pair of warm socks) and be prepared for a welcoming and safe place to hold pace with yourself.
A restorative yoga sequence typically involves only five or six poses, supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. Held for 5 minutes or more, restorative poses include light twists, seated forward folds, and gentle back-bends.
